Two international seminars in St. Petersburg, Russia 2010/2011

ATI erc gGmbH organized two international seminars in St. Petersburg, Russia in November 2010 and October 2011. The second international seminar of the European project Baltic Biogas Bus took place on 17th of October 2011 in conjunction with X. Forum of Territorial Strategic Planning Leaders, Strategic Planning in the Regions and Cities of Russia at the Park Inn Pribaltiyskaya Hotel St. Petersburg in Russia. The seminar was organized by the Baltic Biogas Bus project partners ATI erc gGmbH and the Stockholm public transport SL in cooperation with the Leontief Center St. Petersburg. The purpose of the seminar was to disseminate the potential of biogas as vehicle fuel and to convince stakeholders about the necessity to start using biofuels, in order to reduce environmental impact from traffic and make the Baltic Sea Region a better place to live, work and invest in. The target groups of the seminar were decision makers (national and local level), manufacturers and dealership companies, and other people and organisations interested in the subject. ATI erc gGmbH organized already a seminar on the topic biogas as vehicle fuel in St. Petersburg, Russia in October 2010 in cooperation with the State University of Aerospace Instrumentation.


Workshop on work package 4 − „securing biogas supply“, in Riga, Latvia, 2nd of February 2012

ATI erc gGmbH has the role as work package coordinator and therefore has to coordinate all activities of the partners within work package 4 which is considering the topic „securing biogas supply“. During the last partner meeting in Riga, Latvia on 2nd of February 2012 ATI erc gGmbH as work package coordinator of work package 4 was conducting a fruitful workshop with all project partners of the Baltic Biogas Bus project in cooperation with the Norwegian project partner HOG energy. The aim was to present the results of the tasks and expert studies of the project partners and to formulate the main messages of the several tasks and of the overall topic.

Support with the introduction of biogas as fuel in the public transport

ATI erc gGmbH is offering support with the introduction of biogas as fuel in the public transport for transport companies and municipalities in the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. We are thereby working closely together with the bioenergy region Rügen and the natural gas initiative Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

Expert studies:

Furthermore the following studies are finished by ATI erc gGmbH:
• „Feasibility study to produce biogas from a number of food production wastes in Rostock
    area“
• „Investigation of standards of a high pressure vessel for biogas in buses“
• „Investigation of the usage of Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFC) in biogas buses“

From September 2012 all studies and reports finished trough the Baltic Biogas Bus project partners will be available for download on the project website.
